So I started Project Life after Thanksgiving 2011 and my track record has been a bit hit and miss. Regardless, I still am committed to finishing 2012 and seeing 2013 through...eventually. :) So here is my Project Life 2012 Week 18 Layout using the new May Cards from Splendid Fiins.
Sticking with these card kits really make it super easy for me to get everything done!
Supplies: Splendid Fiins (May Card Kit, 4x6 Horizontal Halvies, Script Day Stamps).
Here are the close ups.
As always, thanks for stopping by!!! Aloha Friday!

Project Life - Week 6
I love putting together my Project Life layouts whenever I can get around to them. It is an opportunity to sort through my photos and play with the awesome monthly card kits by Splendid Fiins. With Week 6, I stuck with Splendid Fiins' February Card Kit and the Project Life Template Design A.
The photos and stories relate to this Aloha Friday post. And here are some close ups of the layout.

Project Life 2013 - Title Page and Week 1
For those who follow my blog, you know that I tried Project Life in 2012 with only minor success. I started after Thanksgiving 2011 and kept up with it through April. I tried restarting Project Life around Halloween and still have hopes to finish 2012 at some point. Regardless, I am moving forward with Project Life in 2013. So I am proud to officially introduce to you, Project Life 2013.
We are going all digital this time and working primarily with awesome products from Splendid Fiins. I am on the Creative Team for Splendid Fiins and genuinely ADORE everything that Nisa Fiin creates for her shop. It's a fantastic mix of quirky and clean. Just fabulous.
So, using the amazing Project Life products from Splendid Fiins, here are my first pages for 2013.
This is the title page for the album using the January Card Kit from Splendid Fiins.
The photos of me and Justin with the kids were taken by Melissa O Photography. Melissa is a good friend and fellow Navy spouse. If you're in San Diego and looking for a photographer, be sure to look her up!
Here are the pages for Week 1 (also using the same January Card Kit linked above).
I'm so excited about this project and between this and the Aloha Friday posts, I can't wait to share with everyone our Hawaiian adventure!
As always, mahalo for stopping by!

30 Days of Gratitude - Days 12 - 25; Project Life Weeks 46 and 47
Well, my 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge has instead morphed into incorporating a list of 30 things I am grateful for into my project life layouts (and I'm totally fine with that).
1. Week 46. Not too much excitement happening at home, especially with Benjamin being so small. However, there was lots of crafting going on for both Xyron and preparations for Charlotte's Rapunzel birthday party!
2. Week 47. Thanksgiving was clearly the highlight of the week and amazingly enough, I didn't take any photos. However, I did get some cute photos of Dad with Benjamin after dinner. With Justin being gone, the holidays seem more bittersweet than anything. We miss him so much. I think we're going to have to redo Thanksgiving once we get settled in Hawaii...

Catching up with Project Life; 30 Days of Gratitude - Day 11.
So I am now determined to finish my Project Life 2012 digitally and get everything printed and bound in a beautiful book. I'm serious. I mean it. But, um, I'm just a tad bit behind. And when I say behind, I mean that I still have to document the middle of March through the end of October. But I can do it, right??? Just wanted to share some pages towards that endeavor. But just think how awesome it's going to be when I take a photo of me with a beautiful bound album of all our 2012 memories. You just wait. I'm so going to do this. :)
1. Week 44 (First Half). The highlight of this layout was definitely Halloween. Charlotte has been telling everyone that she was going to be a monkey ballerina for MONTHS!! Click here to see Week 44 (Second Half).
2. Week 45. Big events this week were saying goodbye to Justin (again), Charlotte's lantern walk at school, and Benjamin's two month birthday!!!
3. 30 Days of Gratitude - Day 11. I didn't include a photo for my Day 11 journaling. I won't lie, after this week, it was hard for me to keep up with the 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge and I found myself trying to remember what I was grateful for in retrospect. But I still think it's definitely worth following through. But, as I noted in my layout above, for Day 11, I am thankful for military wives. Despite the obstacles that life seems to throw at us, we continue to persevere and thrive with the support of each other.

30 Days of Gratitude - Days 6 through 10
On Day 6, my first full day of solo parenting again, I'm thanking for tummy time and legos. Even though it may only last for a few moments, having both kids temporarily happy and occupied gives me a few moments of sanity.
On Day 7, I'm thankful for Charlotte's school. While her world seems to be turning upside down with another pending move, Justin's absence and Benjamin's arrival, her school and teachers have been a reliable and loving constant.
Because Charlotte goes to school during the day, I am able to stay at home with just Benjamin during the day. So on Day 8, I am thankful for those quiet moments that I can just enjoying having him home.
On Day 9, I am thankful for public libraries. Here we are watching Clifford on Friday night while eating some popcorn. Ah, you know my life is exciting. :)
And on Day 10, I am thankful for sisters. I'm especially thankful for my sister. For so many reasons. I hope that Benjamin will love and value his sister as much as I cherish mine one day.
And here is a look at the beginning on my Gratitude Journal (Days 1 through 4) integrated into my Project Life Pages.

Project Life - Weeks 7, 8, 9 and 10
It's amazing how easy it was for me to fall dreadfully behind with Project Life. I actually did these layouts for Weeks 7, 8 and 9 months ago but never shared them on the blog.
Week 7. The highlights of this week were definitely Valentine's Day and our trip out to Cape Cod. I was so amazingly busy making Valentines Day cards this year. And despite the cold, Charlotte had a great time at the beach on Cape Cod.
Week 8. This week's highlights included finishing up swimming class at the Y and the Winter Festival in Newport, RI. Charlotte just adored riding on the carousel. That night after the Winter Festival, she kept asking for the horsy. Once we realized that she meant the carousel we felt so bad that it was closed for the rest of the season that we bought her a Dora beach chair at Walmart that night. :)
Week 9. Charlotte got to spend so much time with Ellie this week. From visiting the Buttonwood Zoo to celebrating Ellie's birthday party, it was certainly a sweet week of friendship and fun.
While flipping through my scrapbook, I also realized how amazingly fulfilling Project Life was. So, with a new found resolution, I have decided to catch up with Project Life again. This time, I'm going to go digital (see this tutorial by Jessica Sprague on how she does Project Life).
This first layout definitely took a lot longer than I expected but I'm hoping the process will speed up once I get a hang of things. We'll see how it goes. Anyways, here is the digital Project Life layout for Week 10.
Week 10. Highlights included a play date with Ellie at Kidventures, a Sweet Pea Baby Shower for Laura and Christen, and going up to Boston to visit my dear, sweet friend Miya and her gorgeous family.
Now what week are we on now? Week 29? 30? Oh my...lots of catching up to do!!!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
